TIP-UP TOWN USA is Michigan’s longest running winter festival, this year our event is January 20, 21 and 27th. The festival is held at the southern DNR boat launch, off of M-55 near the Pines theater and Pineview Golf Course. Free parking is available at the High School and library with free shuttle service to and from Tip Up Town. Badge is required.

The Saint Helen Snowpackers Snowmobile Club is one of the oldest and largest snowmobile club located in Roscommon County, Michigan. The Club holds an annual Snow Run each February. Ride miles of groomed trails, check points, lunch on the trail, prizes and more.

The Higgins Lake/Roscommon WinterFest is a two-day celebration of winter in the Higgins Lake/Roscommon Area, held the same weekend as Michigan DNR’s Free Fishing weekend. Your badge will get you entry to events including pancake breakfast, cardboard sled race, broomball, Kids Karnival, chili cook-off and more. Hosted by the Higgins Lake/Roscommon Chamber of Commerce.

The Kirtland’s Warbler Festival is an educational celebration of the Kirtland's Warbler, its habitat, and the communities located in the jack pine ecosystem - Kirtland's Country. It is held the first full weekend in June in the Village of Roscommon. It includes Kirtland Warbler tours, speakers, vendors and more.

Over 60 exhibitors will be on hand - NEW vendors and friendly favorites - with fine arts and crafts, including water and oil paintings, jewelry, wood crafts, signs, stained glass and more. You'll also enjoy a variety of food trucks, and LIVE music throughout the day! Don’t miss the ‘greatest little show in northern Michigan’!

September 20-21, 2024 (45th Annual)
Location: Roscommon County Fire Training Grounds
Held the third weekend of September, the Festival is a gathering to remember the Fire Fighters who gave their lives protecting their communities. It begins Thursday night with Family Night and continues through Saturday night. Saturday morning is the Annual Memorial Service and placing of wreaths at the memorial site. Parades, vendors, games, and events occur in Roscommon as well as at the Fire Training Grounds. Music and bar at the Big Red Barn on Friday and Saturday nights.

The first Saturday in December held in downtown Roscommon. Events around the Village include Breakfast with Santa, cookie walk, open houses, craft show, Book Fair and more. At dusk luminaries welcome you down 5th and Lake Streets prior to the Electric Light Parade and Village Christmas Tree lighting. New in 2018, the Santa Train makes a visit to the village.
