- MichiganSnowshoeCenter - At this store, which is located inside the Quiet Sports Outfitters, you can purchase or rent snowshoes, accessories, and they have instructional lessons for the beginner.
- X Country Ski Headquarters - Located on County Road 100, Roscommon. This charming Nordic Skiing/Snows shoeing center includes 18 Km of trails, has facilities for night skiing, a cozy lodge with food and hot beverages available. There is a complete store with sale or rental of cross county and snow shoeing equipment, clothing and accessories. Cross-Country Ski Headquarters has snowmaking equipment and frequently groomed trails.
- Winter Trials Day - held in late January. This event is held in northern Roscommon County, has instructional and recreational events for the snow shoeing enthusiasts and beginner.
