SNOWMOBILING

With roughly 200 miles of groomed snowmobile trails in Roscommon County, Houghton Lake is the perfect stop for the snowmobile enthusiast. Houghton Lake is the perfect base for accessing Michigan's 6100 miles of snowmobile trails. Maps are available at various locations throughout the county, including Houghton Lake Tourism Bureau, Chamber of Commerce offices in Houghton Lake and Roscommon/Higgins Lake.

3 Sled (Fun) Runs

• Roscommon Fun Run is held as part of the Roscommon Winterfest each year.

• Spicer’s Run for Special Olympic s - Held each year in February.  Proceeds go to Special Olympics.  Registration includes food and coffee along the trail.  For further information contact Spicer's Boat City at (989)366-8400.

• St Helen Fun Run is the first weekend in February, starting at the Snowpacker’s clubhouse
